What Is Scar Therapy?

ScarINK Scar Therapy – More Than Just Aesthetic Improvement

Scar therapy using the scarINK method is an innovative procedure designed to treat scars and skin irregularities of various origins. The main goal is to remodel tissue, improve the appearance of the skin, and restore comfort in everyday life. The effects are not only visually impressive, but also functional and therapeutic – helping clients regain confidence and, in many cases, close difficult chapters from the past.

The treatment is primarily based on micropuncture, also referred to as dermal puncture, needling, dry needling or skin puncturing (not to be confused with microneedling performed with a pen or roller). It involves the precise puncturing of the skin using either a single needle or a cluster of needles, depending on the type and nature of the scar.

The procedure is performed using the specialised PURO device, which has been specifically developed for working with scars. The treatment also uses sapphire and diamond needles, designed for effective yet minimally traumatic work on damaged skin. This allows for maximum results with minimal disruption to the surrounding tissue.

Scar therapy is more than just a cosmetic treatment – it’s a process of restoring balance, health, and self-confidence. Every scar tells a story, but with the right therapy, it no longer has to define your everyday life.

Scars we can work on include:

- post-operative/post-surgical scars (caesarean section, mastectomy, blepharoplasty, plastic surgery, hair transplant, etc.).
- acne and chickenpox/smallpox scars.
- scars after cleft lip.
- burn scars.
- bite scars.
- traumatic scars.
- scars after permanent make-up and after its removal with laser or remover.
- scars after tattoo removal.
- scars and discolorations after herpes in the lip area.
- skin adhesions after fractures.

- stretch marks.

01

Pre consultation Form

We understand our clients lead busy lives, so we have designed a pre consultation form to firstly ensure you are eligible for the treatment, and secondly if there is any need to contact your GP/ for guidance surrounding any on going medical conditions. You will only have to fill this once, as upon your first treatment, we will update your member account to reflect your answers, meaning you will be able to book directly via your account.

02

In Person Consultation and Patch Test.

During this consultation I will inspect the effected area. This will be to ensure that it is safe to perform the treatment and check the current skin condition. In some cases we may need to prepare the skin, using skin improving treatments such as electro therapy prior to performing Scar Therapy. This is in order to avoid any complications. I will also conduct a patch test to make certain there is no allergies to the needle being used. This will also be an opportunity for me to explain the process of the treatment, answer any and all of your questions and book you in for your initial treatment.

03

Initial Treatment.

At the end of each session, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to check the treated area and monitor the healing process and/or perform the next session.

The number of sessions required varies depending on the skin’s condition and how it responds to treatment, additional sessions may be recommended to achieve the best possible results.
